He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Alton and Myrtle Etta Sides; Sister, Dorothy Johns; Grandchild, Amanda Hopper; Son-in-law, David Hopper.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years Dexter Sides; Daughters, Linda Carol Dryden (Jerry), Amanda Joy Hopper; Brother, Jack Sides (Houston, MO); Grandchildren, Bridgett Tays (Matt), Shonta Harper (David), Jessica Carr (Justin), Callie Hopper; Great-Grandchildren, Lilah and Olivia Tays, Emma and Alex Harper.

Vistation will be held at the Pettus-Turnbo Funeral chapel on Sunday, July 1st, 2018 from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Brother David Smith officiating.

Interment will be at Spann Cemetery
