Words can’t express the sorrow and pain I am feeling about the loss of my Dad. I do however take comfort in knowing that my Dad is in a better place. He is in a place without pain, sorrow, anguish and suffering. He is in a place filled with love, happiness and no worries. He is home with my Mom, Grandpa, Grandma and so many other cherished loved ones.
He was a great Father, provider and friend. There are so many memories, funny stories. We did not always see eye to eye especially the teenage years. I was a handful. He always loved me though no matter what I did, like the time I wrecked his pride and joy Cadillac. He came home to see the car on back of a tow truck. The tow truck driver couldn’t get it into the driveway so Dad had to do it. I can remember being upstairs and him yelling and my mom standing in between us, she did this quite often; He should have beaten the hell out of me. He didn’t touch me. 
He was also a teacher. He taught me how to work on cars. He definitely taught me how to jerry rig things. Growing up nothing ever got fixed, it was patched. Pipe leaking no problem cut a rubber hose, use a c clamp and it was fixed. Duct tape and cable ties were his favorite tools of choice. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
The older I got, the better we got along. We would go out to lunch. He liked the Green Turtle back in the day when it had a pool table. We liked shooting pool together. We would always help each other out with rides to pick up cars or his truck. When I worked in Laurel it was great. He would stop by to say hi and chat. And back in the day he would bring Grandma. Those were great times. Times I took for granted. 
I would like to say Thank you to some people. To all the people that came to the hospital all the relatives and friends, Thank you. Thanks to Smitty. Dad really got energetic when Smitty was there. I enjoyed hearing their stories, there are tons of them, some not so appropriate. They would laugh and carry on. It was great to see. I am not sure who appreciated that more, me or Dad. Last but certainly not least a warm and heartfelt Thank you to Bonnie. When my Mom passed away my Dad was a wreck. If he had not met her we would of lost him a long time ago. Thanks for the extra time.  I know I have said this countless times, I will say it just one more, very few people in life find true love once. My dad was one of the lucky ones, he found it twice. Thank you Bonnie or as he called her Logi.

There are so many things left unsaid. There are so many more things to remember.  There’s not enough time.  Like his grandchildren:  Samantha, Zachary, Tyler, Ethan, Jonathan and Brady.  All you have to do is look at the loving pictures around the room of him with his grandkids.  The pictures are worth a thousand words.  
There just isn’t enough time.  That says it all. 
I will just finish by saying, Dad if you are listening as hope you are. You will always be a part of me. You will be with me every step of the way. I love you, I miss you and give Mom a great big hug for me and I will see you guys later.

We will all miss cousin "Billy Boy". The service was a beautiful tribute to his life, which was full of love from many family and friends. My prayers go out to Bonnie, Ben and Ria, and their families. God bless. Love, cousin, Donna

My deepest sympathy to Bill Jahn's family and friends. I met Bill in the "old days" in Alexandria VA. It was one of my first transportation jobs as a night dispatcher, and Bill had his truck signed on there. After that, seems like wherever I worked, Bill Jahn was there too. For 30 years.
I feel lucky to have worked with him  and known him as a friend. Have a safe trip Bill!

We are so sorry to hear of Bill Jahn's death. I speak of him as "Bill Jahn" because all of his friends always spoke of him using his first & last name.  We didn't know why, but that was what he preferred and he would let you know if you didn't.  I first met Bill Jahn when I started driving truck here in Maryland.  He was a great friend to everyone who knew him.  Alot of good times shared with our wives & loved ones at picnics, & social events.  Those who knew him also knew how he loved his family and the trucking business.  May God Bless his family. We will see him again someday in truck drivers Heaven...

Bill used to jokingly say to me that God broke the mold after he made my wife (due to what I used to put her thru). I say Bill was a gift sent by God to befriend those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be one of his friends. I did not like Bill. I loved him.

Bill was a gift to all my family and a great friend. He was a gift to us all and he will be dearly missed.
