On June 2, 2010, Msg/E8 George Edward Kennedy, age 85, of Laurel; George was born on March 9, 1925 in Rockford, Illinois; Beloved son of the late George E. and Fern L. Kennedy; Loving father of Rosemarie Folta, Nikolaus Kennedy and Gisela Perkins; Cherished grandfather of Michelle R. Quirk, Amy Q. Folta, Nikolaus E. Kennedy, Kristofer H. Kennedy, Russell L. Perkins and Michael E. Perkins and great grandfather of Michael Quirk. George, a retired Army veteran, recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart served his country honorably for 27 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the FLECK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 7601 Sandy Spring Rd., Laurel, MD 20707 on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 10am-12pm, where Memorial Services will follow. Inurment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his honor to the American Legion Post 60, 2 Main St., Laurel, Maryland.
