

Yvette Mejia, 49, a ten-year resident of the Las Vegas area, was taken from us and went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2021. She was born September 26, 1971, in Manhattan, New York to Carmen Del Villar and Juan Vega.
When she was a child, they relocated to Anchorage, Alaska where she lived for over 35 years. Yvette was married for 22 years and had three lovely kids. Yvette was a graduate of Dimond High School in Anchorage. She worked for over twenty years for GCI as a Business Executive.
In Las Vegas, she took a position for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, in Pharmaceuticals. Yvette loved her family, dancing, and music. She had a smile that could light up a room as soon as she walked in and was the life of every party. Her laugh was a sound that would make you smile almost instantaneously. In addition to being a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, she truly loved her entire family.
Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 46 that reads, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever- present help in trouble."
She is survived by her children Ashley Dillard, Angel Mejia, Adrian Mejia; her mother Carmen Vega; siblings Juan Vega and Damary Jacobs-Sanchez; niece and nephews Alyssa Vega, Shilo Vega, Gabriel Vega, Jadon Vega, Ausiana Laguerre, DeAoney Jacobs, Juani Sanchez; and her great-niece and nephew Iszabella Campos and Kaylor Campos.
A private viewing will be held from 5:00 - 9:00pm on Friday, March 26. Additional viewing will be held from 12:30 - 2:00pm on Saturday, March 27, with services following from 2:00 - 3:00pm. Burial to follow 3:00 - 4:00pm; all at Palm Eastern, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
