Born in Cambodia in 1930, Yiv was the fourth of five children. In 1950, she married her soulmate, Ny Tan. Due to the war and turmoil in Cambodia, the family had to uproot and flee in 1979. They resettled in America in 1981. She devoted her life to her family and the simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Yiv - family gatherings filled with laughter, delicious food and full bellies, conversations with her precious family and friends and more recently, playing her favorite Buffalo slot machines.
She will be remembered for her quiet strength, sweet smile, loving, kind and humorous demeanor.
Yiv was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Ny, and older brother and sisters. She is survived by her eight children: Song, Leng (Cheng), Giet (Kim), Ken (Eloung), Chhoun (Monique), Rosanna (Brian), Joseph (Holly), and Julia; nine grandchildren: Tom (Angela), Mary, Lily (Ryan), Bryan, Jenny (Ralph), Eileena, Christopher, Maylee, and Annie; six great-grandchildren: Ty Grr, Enzo, Rylan, Leila, Raiden, and Landon.
There will be a service for those who would like to say their final goodbye to Yiv on Tuesday, November 16th at 9 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
