William Benjamin Scott Jr. passed away on March 6, 2015, at 6:41 p.m. (PST), surrounding by family and friends. William was born on January 26, 1967, the eldest of two children, to William Benjamin Scott, Sr. and Nancy Kathryn Scott. Born in Bartow, Florida, raised in several states, and resided in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1989, he was taught life values during his formative years. As a young boy he was courageous, self confident, and outgoing, with a love for playing baseball. William learned many valuable lessons about community, family, trust, honesty, the love of learning, and faith in God from his devoted father, who he referred to as his hero. Being a man of faith, with a sense of compassion for life and for others, coupled with a strong will and determination, William never complained during his most difficult times. William received his Bachelor of Science degree from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. He leaves to cherish his memory: father and mother: William Sr. and Nancy, Las Vegas, NV; two sons: William Scott III, Las Vegas, NV and Majried Mangum, Richmond, VA; one sister: Tracee Scott, Las Vegas, NV; three nephews: Micquel Robinson, Malik and Myles Green, all of Las Vegas, NV; as well as other loving relatives and sorrowing friends who loved him dearly.
