Bill was born and raised in sunny California. He attended the University of Wyoming. He served in the U.S. Navy. When he turned 21 he moved to Las Vegas. He was proud to open the International Hotel as a craps dealer and remembers sharing an elevator with Elvis. He also dealt at the MGM and Marina ending his career at Harrah's.
He was an avid fan of the Runnin' Rebels Basketball Team and a season ticket holder. He spent his free time playing golf and watching sports. Fantasy Football kept his attention during football season. He and Mary have been together for 44 years. He is also survived by Meghan, Brian and Karla Betanzo, a foreign exchange student from Mexico City; brother Don in Canada; and sister Rhonda in San Diego. The birth of his grandson, Jackson William in November, gave him a reason to live and brought him unbelievable joy.
