William Francis Quinlan, 84, died peacefully at his home June 2, 2011. He was born in St. Louis, Jan. 29, 1927, but moved to Chicago at age 3. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper during World War II. He worked in the beverage industry for over 35 years and then made a successful new career in sales for another ten years. Bill was a gifted story teller and loved to entertain. He was very generous to all, but never wanted the recognition. Integrity was paramount. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Quinlan. William is survived by his dedicated wife, of 63 years, Audrey; sons, Dennis (Anita) and Kevin (Jan); daughters, Susan (Denny) Heikka, Kathryn Virtuoso and Kimberly (Martin) Noonen; and grandchildren Bryana, Isabella and Luke. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary. Funeral service to follow at noon, at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church. Graveside services following at 1:20 p.m., at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
