Heaven’s Doorway
There’s a road that each of us travels; Often times with no chance for a good-bye, And those who are left sad and lonely, Grieve in silence and simply ask, “Why?”
But the question is one without answers, And the comfort that others provide, Still can’t keep your poor heart from wishing, That your loved one was there by your side.
Yet life has beginnings and endings, And one day your heart will cease. Though is seems like you’ll never stop hurting, Over time you will find inner peace.
You’ll be able to think of your lover doe, Without wiping a tear from your eye, And you’ll come to see death as a doorway, And not a forever good-bye.
