Wendy was born in Brandon, Suffolk, England on January 1, 1944, where she spent her first year in and out of bomb shelters during World War II. Wendy loved the outdoors, riding her bike, and spending time with her dad in his shop. Her first job, which she always told her Granddaughters about, was a paper route that she had from the ages of 10 thru 15 years old.
Tom met Wendy in the spring of 1961 by what could be called divine intervention. He was attending a dinner at his Staff Sargeant’s house while he was stationed in England at Bentwaters-Woodbridge as an Airman 2 in the US Airforce. It was decided that there weren’t enough women at the party, so Tom left and found Wendy and her friend walking down the road. After some sweet talking, he brought them back to the dinner and the rest is history. Tom and Wendy were married on July 21, 1962, and moved back to the US where Wendy attained her citizenship. As a military wife there were many moves, and Tom was frequently away from home. For 23 years, Wendy fearlessly and lovingly took care of the home and raised their two boys, Michael, and Greg.
Tom and Wendy were married nearly 61 years. Wendy loved everyone she met and in turn everyone loved her back. She had an especially soft spot for her Granddaughters whom she loved very deeply. There will never be another person like her, and she will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. Wendy left this world peacefully on June 1, 2023, to join our loving Father and dearly departed in Heaven.
Wendy is survived by her loving spouse, Thomas LeFrancis, her sons Michael and Greg LeFrancis and their wives, Reachel and Kathy, her dear Granddaughters, Dominique and Alyssa, her beloved sisters, Wilma, Linda and Debbie and their families, and Tom’s brothers and sister Bobby, Donald and Lynette and their families.
Rest in peace Wendy and thank you for blessing our lives with your love.
