Wayne passed away on September 9th, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada. After Texas, Wayne’s parents moved them to Downey, California. After meeting Darlene in Norwalk, California and eventually marrying, they lived on 7th Street in Seal Beach, California. They also spent many years in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He then spent many years in the Northwest Arkansas area, even running a RV park in Lanagan, Missouri. While in Bella Vista, Arkansas- He was able to spend time with his son, Mitch, and grandkids. With that, came with living on the lake, enjoying the swimming and many neighbors. Wayne was a great Husband to Darlene (60 years!), son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
He was always hardworking in life that included many years in the tile business. With knowing how to lay tile, came many awards from organizations. He met great people along the way throughout Arizona, Arkansas, California, and Nevada. After his first son was born, he and Darlene managed a hotel in Parker, Arizona where they had a great time. He had a love for horse racing and could name any of the horses that won the Kentucky Derby in years past! He had a love for baseball and would always be up to playing catch out on the baseball field. In California, he loved spending time on the beach and the great community of Seal Beach. In July 2019, he and Darlene moved to Las Vegas to be close to Michael and family. He was a proud father to 3 sons, grandfather to 8, and great grandfather to 5. He also enjoyed the company of their dog, Bailey (who will miss both very much). Wayne always pushed people to work hard, which was very admirable, and we will all miss that. This fall, we will think of you when raking leaves! We love you, Grandpa.
