SAE PART I
Brother Pos, it was just a few weeks ago when you were recommending to me all of the great places to visit and sites to see for my family’s vacation to Maui.  Everything was fabulous, including the fish sandwich at the Paia Fish Market and, of course, the red Tiger sauce.
You have been such an instrumental force within our Fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE), both at the National level and for our local Chapter at Kettering University.  As president of our Chapter Alumni Association, I had the pleasure of meeting you in person several times.  The most recent was in 2013 during a tour of our new Chapter House.  Included is a picture of you with a relic that you found in the attic, highlighting your class of 1969.
Although you may not agree, I think it is important to recognize you for just some of the things that you have done for our Fraternity over the years.  See SAE PART II.


SAE PART II.  The notes below come from the SAE National Fraternity office…
Pos attended Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) where he was a founding member of the Michigan Epsilon chapter, established 1965. Upon graduation, he received a full scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he earned both mechanical and electrical engineering degrees. After 30 years in Hawaii, he sold his business and retired to Las Vegas where he spent the last 20 years.
A very active alumnus, Pos served on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and was named an Honorary Eminent Supreme Archon. He donated more to Sigma Alpha Epsilon than anyone in the history of the organization. Those contributions helped fund major awards within the fraternity including the John O. Moseley Award for Fraternity Zeal, The True Gentleman of the Year Award, and a number of national scholarships including the Warren Paul Poslusny Award for Outstanding Achievement.
For his dedication to Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Pos received: T.H.E. Award (1981), Merit Key (2004), Order of the Lion (2009), and Distinguished Service Award #129 (2011), the highest individual award a member can receive. To date, there have only been 141 Distinguished Service Award recipients.
A man synonymous with caring, generosity, and dedication, Pos’ legacy will not go unnoticed. The impact of his kind, giving heart has provided and will continue to provide generations of young men opportunities to flourish, yet he never asked for recognition—truly a gentleman who did not boast of his own possessions or achievements.

SAE PART III
Pos’ contributions to our National fraternity are unsurpassed, but he also gave generously to our local Chapter at Kettering.  Back in 1991 he established a Chapter Education Fund for the SAE undergraduate members.  This is dedicated to funding attendance at the annual SAE leadership school designed to develop leadership skills in undergraduates for use in their chapters and in everyday life.
In addition to contributing so generously to his Fraternity, Pos also recently established a scholarship fund for Kettering University Robot Society members. The Robot Society is an exclusive leadership honor society at Kettering that exemplifies exceptional leadership, values and academic performance on campus.  It’s no wonder that Pos was also a member.
Pos, you will be forever missed, but your legacy will live on through all of the young men and women that will be recognized via your generous contributions.  I say goodbye to you with a poem that you know very well called The True Gentleman that represents the creed of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, one that you exemplified to the fullest extent.

Pos, you have been a major force and a leader in the MIT Club of Southern Nevada.  We are all blessed to have been able to know you and to have shared in the good cheer, optimism, and wisdom that you brought. There is a spirit of volunteerism and initiative we have all felt that we are certain you have laid a path for everywhere you have traveled. We miss you, are enriched by you, and you should know the Club is much stronger today with all you have put into it.

Brother Poslusny. We never got to know each other on a personal level however, we were on the level together as a fellow Brothers of Las Vegas Lodge #32. I am sure that I can speak for all your Brothers at Vegas Lodge #32, that you will be missed. I know my Brother that we will indeed meet in the Celestial Lodge not made with hands eternal in the Heavens. Brother Gregory Mannarino.
