Mrs. Virginia, as we lovingly called her "Nanay Viring" will be best remembered as a loving and a dutiful wife, doting mother and grandmother, and a devoted and active member of the Church of Christ.
She was born in Villasis, Pangasinan on March 22, 1937. Nanay Viring was second to the oldest of six children; she grew up in Villasis, Pangasinan, until she was 8 years old. She was married to Rodolfo de Leon and they had eight children: Racquel, Ronaldo, Rodolfo, Roberto, Ramilo, Renato, Rhodora, and Rodello.
Nanay Viring was very active in the church as a choir member. She was a very jolly, sweet, and a caring person. Nanay was the life of the Kadiwa of her time.
When her family moved to Manila, they became part of the Iglesia ni Cristo Local Congregation of Sampaloc. Nanay Viring finished fashion design and dressmaking from the Samson Fashion School. Her parents were Apolinario Lerey and Clementina Dollaga.
