To Peter, Lance,  and family, this is Ms. Mary (Brown), as I was referred to by the family. I relocated to VA, but Valerie and I had some very good times together. She helped me purchase my first computer. She was there for me when I lost my daughter.  I learned about her death as I was Googling one night. I was very saddened and shocked to hear the news. You have my deepest sympathy. I will truly miss our occasional talks. May God continue to bless you. 

Valerie and I met as teenagers, attending different high schools, living on opposite sides of town, but our friendship grew and lasted 65+ years without any disagreement. She always spoke her mind if she felt that I was going the wrong way.< and sometimes she was right.  Val is more than a friend, she's my sister. Much love, she is greatly missed.💕

I would like to offer my condolences to Peter, Lance and the family.  I am a cousin of Ronald's and from the first time I met Valerie we got along very well.  We did not get to see each other often since we lived on opposite ends of the coast. But I will surely miss knowing that Ronald and Valerie are in New York.   
As a family we have truly enjoyed the many years that Valerie sent out newsletters keeping us in the loop about her boys and the grands.  
One thing is true is that we need to remind people how special they are to us.  So, Valerie you will be missed and you were special to us.

Alan and I and Gary are so sad to learn of Valerie's passing...we have known your entire family for SOOOO many years, especially through all your animals, including Quasi Moto, who Alan and I adopted from you...what a hoot he was !!!  Valerie always had a smile on her face, a story to tell, and a bubbly personality and how proud she was of her boys!
She loved all her animals so very much and they made her so happy.
Hold on to your memories, of which, I am sure there are so many

I always looked forward to my Christmas letter from Miss Valerie.  Those letters made me feel like a part of the Bush Family. Rest In Peace Miss Valerie.   You and Sam can rest together.

I met Valerie in Drake's Business School over thirty years ago.  While in school we were good friends and as the years went by we kept in touch over the phone and through email.   I remember Valerie as being full of life, fun to be with.  Through our emails and Christmas cards we learned more about our children and grandchildren.. She was so proud of her family.  
May she rest in peace.

We are saddened with the loss of Valerie Bush. Losing Papa was already a heartbreaking tragedy but now the loss of Mama Bush is just so sad. She was a very loving and caring woman to us. We will always have her in our memories. I was born into Mama and Papa Bush arms ever since I was a baby. May she Rest In Peace with her husband.

My Memory  of Valerie your family dropping by on Summer afternoons and Peter and Lance playing with Lance and Carol. I remember fondly the fun times we had when we attended the annual LCL Class of 56 dances. Then there  were the weddings of Carol , Lance(my Lance) , Peter, and Lance Bush.  I remember the day she  called  to inform me of Ronald's passing . She  didn't have to say anything because the way she  called my name "Carrie" let me know what was to follow would not be news that I wanted to accept.
    I am deeply saddened by your loss and send out my prayer for you and your family.

Val was married to my cousin  Ronald Bush .
When we first met she was so sweet and soft spoken and she was always that way. 
She wasn't a cousin she was a big sister to me, we would call each other when either one of us was feeling down and would talk for hours before we hung up we were laughing and relieved of whatever was bothering us before we spoke.
I will truly miss her my sister 😢 I know you were tired and missing Ronald because you told me so many times, so rest easy .
You will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.

When we moved to Laurelton,  Mr. & Mrs. Bush were the first neighbors to welcome us.  They were given keys to our home and our children, Jaleesa and Justin always felt comfortable visiting with them. They are truly missed. 224th Street is not the same, but we live with the hope that we will see each other again, in that great getting up morning. So until then my friend, rest easy. Aunt Valerie was truly another mom to me.  She nursed me when I was sick and was my best advocate, confidant, and cheerleader. We would talk together for hours as a child until her last days.   Being a tomboy of sorts as a child, she showed me how to walk like a ‘young lady’ and gave me my first driving lessons.  Aunt Valerie was full of wisdom and always told me the truth in her loving way which helps me navigate through life to this day.  She will always live on through me, my cousins Peter, Lance, as well as her grandchildren.  Aunt Valerie, you will always be part of my life’s tapestry. You helped me realize my strength, resilience, and taught me that I could overcome any obstacle that l encountered in life. I hope I continue to make you proud.  I love you, and always will💖. 

My cousin will be deeply missed.
I used to take walks to visit her in Queens. We would sit and talk for hours. She would tell me stories of me running from her fur babies when she use to watch after me.

I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Bush family. I grew up on the same street in Laurelton Queens. Mrs Bush  was my second mom. She babysat me and help give me knowledge of God and church. The Bush family were (are)  a top-notch (as solid as they come). Before Mrs Bush moved to Vegas she asked for me to come see her and the very next day I was there.  Our families were very tight growing up.
