Treva June Roper

Treva was born in Miami, OK in 1929. She moved to Oregon in 1939. She married George Roper in 1947. They had two children prior to moving to Las Vegas in 1954, and subsequently had two more children

She mostly was a stay at home housewife and mother. She worked at the Election Department for the City of Las Vegas.

Treva enjoyed quilt making and sewing clothes for her daughter and granddaughters. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was at her happiest when the family were all together..

She was a member of First Christian Church of Las Vegas and was actively involved for 66 years.

Treva was the beloved wife of the late George Roper. They were married for 55 years.

She was the devoted mother to Bob Roper, Sandy (Lorry) Mott, Jim Roper and Jerry Roper. The greatest joy of her life were her grandchildren Krista (Josh) Wilgoren, Alisha Roper, Karla (Chris) Nowak, Jimi Ray Roper and Layla Roper; and her great grandchildren Paislee Roper, Landon Nowak, Emerson Roper and Lena Nowak.

Treva was also the loving sister to her four brothers, Arnold, Frank “Bub”, David “Short” and Donald “Don”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Francis Garren and Elizabeth June Nowell, her son Jerry Roper and her brothers.

Nothing was more important to Treva than her family and friends.. Treva touched the lives of everyone she met and will be forever loved and remembered for her extraordinary kindness and love of family. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Visitation Services will be held at Palm Mortuary Eastern on Thursday 4/1/2021 at 4:30pm 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas Nevada 89123 and a Graveside Service on Friday 4/2/2021 at 10:00 am at Palm Eastern . There will also be a Celebration of life will be April 2nd at 2:00 pm ,First Christian Church,101 S Rancho Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89106
