His life of 77 years came to a close on Monday, January 24, 2022, at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Upon graduating from Sevier High School in Ferriday, Louisiana, he moved to Las Vegas, to further advance his career opportunities. During his lifetime he had various employment positions, but the most rewarding was when he obtained the position of Deputy Sheriff, which he help until his retirement.
He was a member of the greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church where he faithfully served as an Usher, and in the Men’s Ministries for many years.
He was also a member for many years with the Masons under the title of Past Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall and Lodge of Nevada, and the Shriner. He was a proud Mason for 27 years.
Tony enjoyed fishing, and on occasion he would travel back south to Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he would spend many hours with family members out on the lake.
He also enjoyed spending time with elderly people he knew from childhood back home and others living in Las Vegas. He always quick to help someone in need whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Williams and Carrie B. Durden, and brother Sam H. Williams.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Williams of Las Vegas, NV; Carl Blackmore of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter Patricia Williams of San Diego, CA; two sisters Carolyn A. Barela of Las Vegas, NV; Franette Branch of Mt. Clemons, MI; three brothers Eddie A. Lloyd III, of Sylmar, CA; Patrick Williams of Mt. Clemens, MI; Michael Williams of Riverside, CA; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a hose of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
