Tommy was born April 20, 1929 in Newport, Rhode Island to Sinforoso Jose Sabino and Louisa Delia Sabino. In Ft. Smith, Arkansas, she wed Ernie Waddle, a United States Army soldier. Together, while raising their 7 beautiful children, they traveled to Germany and throughout the U.S.
A busy mother of 7, Tommy also had several jobs, of which included Cytapheresis Technician, and also as a TSA agent. Two successful businesses were also formed by both herself and Ernie. “Food Fetchers” was a groundbreaking grocery delivery service, the first of its kind in the Las Vegas valley. Later, they began selling gifts and novelty items at a local craft consignment store. Her favorite job of all, however, was being a loving mother and grandmother.
Tommy loved cooking for her family, going to the movies, visiting the casino, and watching MSNBC (to keep up with her passion of politics). She was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones.
Tommy was preceded in death by her brother Walter; her husband Ernie; and her daughter Cathy Bloss.
She is survived by her son Doug Gerald (Sue) of Anchorage, AK; daughter Susan Hathcock (David) of Las Vegas, NV; Linda Koch of Warren, MI; Becky Yard (Randy) of Panguitch, UT; Cyndye Gilbert; and Wendy St. Pierre of Waterford, MI; as well as her 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, Tommy is survived by her sister Dolly Wuagneux (Eddie); brother Ronnie Sabino (Josie); and her beloved cat, Sasha.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 4:00pm.
