Thomas E. Peot, 77, of Henderson, went home to the Lord on Monday, August 28, 2017. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 21, 1939, to Edward Peot and Helen McKeever Peot. Tom’s favorite things in life were golf, fishing, hunting, Sunday breakfast with his Air Force Family, The Green Bay Packers, The Atlanta Braves, and Runnin’ Rebel Basketball. Professionally, Tom was most proud of his distinguished 26-year career in the United States Air Force, most notably his final assignment as the Commander of the 4461st Support Group, supporting the F-117 Stealth Fighter at the Tonopah Test Range. Personally, Tom was proudest of his 41-year marriage to his “best bud” Melva, and his family. He was a 33-year parishioner at St. Viator Catholic Church, and a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Peot; his beloved wife, Melva Bentzel Peot; his sister, Mary Peot; and his in-laws, Melvin and Eleanor Bentzel. He is survived by his daughters, Danielle (Damon) Blue, and Robyn Peot; and his sister Donna (Steve) Hicks. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 16th at 10:00am at St. Viator Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Keep Memory Alive or The National Military Family Association.
