Thomas was a welder by profession and worked for Everest and Jennings for over 20 years. Thomas became ill and moved to Las Vegas in May of 2005 and made Las Vegas his residence.
Thomas was brought up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Lord and savior. Thomas enjoyed attending the Group home ministry services, even when he did not feel well. He was always happy to know we were coming and he would sing along with us. Thomas never complained about feeling sick or complained of pain. When asked, "how are you feeling today?" He would always answer by saying, "I am fine." Thomas became seriously ill and passed away with family by his side. Thomas was loved by all who knew him. thomas was preceeded in death by his late wife of 30 years, Josefina. His mother, Ada Kirby; his father, Hubert Kirby; his sister, Lydia Meeks; and his brother Leopold Kirby.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his brother, Cecil Kirby; two sisters: Ruby Meeks and Delcher Jarman; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.
