Tom’s early career was spent at Harrah’s. He was there 30+ years after which he started as an operating engineer apprentice and turned out number one in his class. He quickly moved up to manage several hundred employees where he was Director of Construction and Design. Tom was very highly respected in his field. After leaving Harrah’s Tom went on to open his own construction business, Copperstone Construction, Inc., with his friend and former coworker, Mike Whitehead, where he was a general contractor for 15 years before retiring in December 2022.
Tom was the most kind, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was truly loved by everyone. He was a doting and very hands on “Papa”. His love of sports from a very early age continued his entire life. He loved to watch his daughters and niece play fast pitch softball and now his grandsons play baseball. He couldn’t get enough of watching them all play. The field was his favorite place to be. He was definitely the proud “Papa”. No matter the weather or where a game took him he was always there…..Many, many, fun times.
