Theora Irene Connor, nee Marshall, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Marquis Care Center in Las Vegas, NV. Theora was born August 27, 1928 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of William H (Sr.). and Helen Marshall. She worked at Fort Snelling in St. Paul, MN and then in Washington DC as a secretary/ stenographer where she met her future husband, Alfred T. Connor. They were married in 1951 in Washington, DC. As Al was in the Air Force, they lived at Bolling AFB (Washington DC), Misawa Air Base in Japan and finally at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV. They later settled within the Las Vegas city limits. Al preceded her in death on June 26, 1979.
Theora was devoted to her family and to her church. She enjoyed reading, going to the movies, collecting grizzly bear figurines and unusual purses, learning about Native American history, watching old westerns, sharing old family photographs and sustained the lifelong dream of life in a log cabin in the woods of Alaska.
Theora is survived by her children and spouses: Colleen (Paul) Papp, Sylmar, CA, Michael Connor, St. George, UT, Shannon (Mark) Broderick, Miranda, NSW, Australia, Erin Connor, Las Vegas, NV and Brian Connor, Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren: Tegan Broderick, San Francisco, CA, Jess Broderick, Netherlands, Kim (Jaron) Haight of North Logan, UT, Carly (Brian) Seabra, Las Vegas, NV, Justin Connor, Las Vegas, NV, four great grandchildren, Aria and Winter Seabra of Las Vegas, NV and Briella and Grayson Haight of North Logan, UT. In addition to Theora’s husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Tuscher in 2013, and a brother, William H. Marshall, Jr. in 1996.
A private memorial service was held and Theora will be interred in a Catholic cemetery in Anchorage, Alaska.
