Theodore “Ted” Lewis Woloszyn passed peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father June 25, 2012. His loved ones were with him as he slipped from his earthly bonds. Ted’s wife, Betty, spoke lovingly to him, guiding him as he left this world with the same tender love and grace that she used during their 14 years of marriage.
Ted brought joy, laughter, and love into every life he touched. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, faith, loyalty, and caring ways. He lived an exemplary life, greeting each new day with joy and thankfulness. Ted proudly served in the Navy during World War II and remained a patriotic citizen all of his life. He was a retired Executive of Braniff Airlines and a member of SKAL for 37 years, a passion he treasured.
His parents, Julian and Anastasia, preceded him in death as did long-time companion Laura “Jean”. Ted is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” of Las Vegas; step-children, Jim (Alexandria) of Arizona, Joan of California, and Jeff (Diane) of Ohio; and step-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Erin, and Daniel of California.
Family and friends may pay their respects and share stories about Ted’s life during two different occasions at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 South Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitation will occur July 9, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the large chapel and on July 10, 2012 a memorial celebration of Ted’s life will be held in the small chapel at 10:00 a.m.
Following the memorial service, guests may, if they wish, meet the family at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery where Honors will be rendered promptly at 12:00 noon. Ted will then be laid to rest.
