Steve is survived by his wife Sandra Foster, his son Brian Foster, his daughter-in law Anna, and four grandchildren: Ethan Foster, Micaela Miller, Noah Miller, and Madison Miller.
His daughter Sheila Miller and Son-in law Kenny Miller preceded him in death.
Steve was born in Lawrence Kansas, but grew up in Las Vegas Nevada. He lived a full life and had a zest for living. He had a great career as a Helicopter Pilot for over 30 years. He was also a Metro Police Officer, a Veteran, an Air Ambulance Program Manager, and a Facilities Manager.
Besides flying, he had a passion for classic and hot rod cars. He was current President for AACA automobile club in Las Vegas and enjoyed car shows and events. He enjoyed talking with other car guys at those events as well as going to meet friends at Cars and Coffee on Saturday mornings. His red 57 Chevy truck was his “baby”.
Steve loved to travel with his wife and explore places they had never been. They had the opportunity to visit so many interesting places throughout the United States. He also loved to ride Razors around the valley and in Utah with his son and friends. He enjoyed spending time in Duck Creek Village, Utah to enjoy the mountains and be at peace with nature. That was his “go to place” for vacations, especially for his birthday. Feeding the deer that came around the cabin brought him great joy.
Steve was a religious man and was a man of God. He believed in doing the right thing in all circumstances and had very high morals and standards. His word was his bond. Family and friends were very important to him. He loved spending time with them and always said his home was his castle.
He was loved by so many and will be missed. He and his wife Sandra were inseparable. They shared 31 years of love and adventure.
Steve is now at peace in heaven.
A memorial service for Steven will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
