Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years Marie Heckathorn, his children: Daniel Heckathorn, Michael Heckathorn, Michael Thomas, Kevin Thomas, his favorite nephew Logan, and family and friends.
He was born in Iowa, moved to Reseda, CA, Simi Valley, CA, and finally Las Vegas. He worked for Raymond construction for over 40 years as a lather, foreman, superintendent, and safety manager. After he retired he worked as an usher at the Orleans arena. Steve's favorite things to do was playing golf, traveling, and being with family and friends.
A memorial service for Stephen will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
