July 17th, 1969—January 24th 2023
Surrounded by friends and family, Sheila Kay Rhinehart was returned to her Heavenly Father on January 24th, 2023.
Sheila was born July 17th, 1969, in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Rincon High School in 1987, and attended Northern Arizona University, graduating with a degree in accounting in 1991. Soon after, Sheila moved to the Henderson area and eventually settled in Las Vegas. After many years of working for and partnering with others, she opened her own accounting services of Rhinehart & Associates.
Her faith was in Jesus: She was a member of the Canyon Ridge Christian Church but in recent years attended home church and Bible study.
She was an active member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, the Clark County Republican Party, and Daughters of the American Revolution (Red Rock Canyon Chapter). Sheila was serious about planning for the worst and took her survivalist training seriously (bug-out bag and MRE’s ready for action). Sheila was also heavily invested in bettering herself and everyone around her. Her networking opportunities were not only to learn more about business, but to bring love and laughter to those who needed it.
Sheila loved to travel, especially in warm waters and beaches. But her love for everything Disney was unrivalled—she celebrated many birthdays at Disney Land.
She is survived by her beloved sister Stephanie Rhinehart of Las Vegas; nieces Courtney Rhinehart of Tucson, and Aileena Dunsworth of Vancouver, WA; her father Paul Rhinehart of Tucson; mother Janet Weese of Farmersville, TX; and half-siblings Melissa and Matthew, both of Norman, Oklahoma. Her many friends, business associates, and those touched by her will be the lesser for her passing.
Sheila will be welcomed in heaven by her grandparents—George and Betty Scott and Paul and Mildred Rhinehart… as well as her beloved ferret friends: Tyrian, Lucy, Ricky, Jacque, Belle, Beau, and Vosges.
The family would like to thank Mountain View Hospital and neighboring Nathan Adelson Hospice for their care of Sheila. A Go-Fund me site has been established to aid in the expenses of her medical care and funeral arrangements: https://gofund.me/701db6c0
A celebration of Sheila’s life and accomplishments will be held at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023, 4 p.m. at 7400 W Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89129. The family will later take Sheila cremains to be buried alongside her Scott grandparents at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona.
Memorial donations are suggested to be made in Sheila’s name to Breast Cancer Research Foundation at https://give.bcrf.org/give/302920/#!/donation/checkout.
When I must leave you for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your
sorrow to you through the years, but start out bravely with a gallant smile; and for my sake
and in my name live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
but fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; and never, never be afraid to die, for I am
waiting for you in the sky!
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sheila's memory may be made to Go fund me , https://www.gofundme.com/f/qvbay?member=24706353&sharetype=teams&utm_campaign=p_na+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer.
