Sharon Lyn (McMillan) Tinker, born Oct. 17,1941, in Salt Lake City, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011, in Las Vegas. Sharon was a long time Las Vegas resident who attended the Historical 5th Street Grade School and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1959. She retired from the Las Vegas Housing Authority in 1995 after 20 years of service. Her life was blessed with many amazing friends who will miss her dearly. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, of 47 years, David N. Tinker; her father, and mother, Harry "Don" and Marjorie "Peg" McMillan; and her brother, Terry McMillan. Sharon is survived by her son, David (Kelly) Tinker; daughter, Sharene (Bobby) Borja; companion, Jeff Kay; grandchildren, Loren and Jacob Borja and Devin, Sara and Jessica Tinker; many other loving family members and devoted friends. Sharon will forever be remembered as mom, friend, and most importantly, Mema. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. at Palm Mortuary (1325 N. Main Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101 ) Saturday, May 7, with services following at 5 p.m. Interment will be private.
