Sharon Lucille Arney Coleman

Sharon Lucille Coleman, 72, of Las Vegas, went to be with our Lord Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 10, 1938, in Belleville, Ill., to Ellsworth and Marie Arney. Sharon was a loving wife, of 54 years, to her beloved husband, Donald Coleman Sr. (74); a loving mother to Donald Jr. (51) of Oil City, Pa.; Ronald (47) of Murrieta, Calif., and Timothy Coleman (45) of Oil City; loving grandmother to Erik Coleman (22) of Murrieta, and Kristen Gates (26) of Santa Monica, Calif.; and loving mother-in-law to Susan Coleman (53) of Murrieta, and Tammy Coleman (51) and her four grandchildren, of Oil City. Sharon's family was everything to her. She loved helping her kids and grandchildren. She loved them more than anything in this world, and was always there for them, right up to the last day of her life. After moving to California from Lorain, Ohio, Sharon went to work at Neiman Marcus, in Newport Beach, Calif., where she had a 24-year career. The last eight years were in Las Vegas, where she was still working until her illness three months ago. She loved her job and the girls she worked with. Sharon became one of their top saleswomen in fashion jewelry, both in California and Las Vegas. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She always brought a smile to everyone's face. Sharon was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved helping people and had many words of inspiration for those she cared most about. She believed that good came from within the heart. Her hobbies were shopping, she loved to shop and loved buying things for family members and friends; traveling; reading; interior design; playing the slot machines; playing cards; cooking and gardening. Sharon enjoyed the finer things in life. Services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. The family has asked that all gifts and memorials are to be in the form of a donation to the Cancer Research Foundation of Southern Nevada, 601 S. Rancho Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89106, in the name of Sharon Coleman.
