Pipo, as we nicknamed him, was a decent man, a devout Christian who loved his family, his homeland, friends, nature, and animals. He was a productive man who, although working as a Casino Dealer for most of his life, committed himself to composing funny, rhythmic, and some very real poetry of his life story after he retired.
Between trips to Office Depot, he kept himself occupied by drawing icons of countries and caricatures of his beloved Cuba.
You were our guiding light, a man of God at his service, a man of character, a man of great faith, sincere, intellectual, strong, and wise, who risked your life on numerous occasions to save us from the terrible tyranny in the nation where we resided. You were ready to pick yourself up and get on with your life even in the face of adversity. Our gratitude and respect for you.
In the Glory of God, Pipo awoke to a fresh morning.
Although your body is no longer with us, your soul will always be, providing light, protection, and guidance to your children and all those who have loved you.
You were a wonderful person, and your heart was open to everyone who needed assistance. You were always a soul of God who represented our Lord in the noblest way; your deeds speak for themselves; you were always there for people who needed you, lending a helping hand in a variety of ways, whether or not you were appreciated.
We love you, Pipo, and we will always remember you, your children, and anybody who crossed your path. We will always miss you, Pipo. God bless you and may your spirit shine brightly like the sun.
