Scott Sargent Fife, 79, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 8th. Scott was born on July 5, 1944 in Cedar City, Utah. He is preceded in death by his parents, Furl and Viola Fife and his sister, Sandra Olds. Scott met the love of his life, Lynne Meder, during their time at Western High school. They married in 1965 and were married for 58 years at the time of his death. Together they had three children: Scott, Steven (Alecia), and Stacy (Robb). Scott has 5 grandchildren: Joshua (Bianca), Emily, Alyssa, Hayley (Jordan), and Allison. He also had the privilege of welcoming two great-grandsons this year, Callan and Anthony.
Scott worked for 43 years at the Department of Energy as a Defense Contractor at the Nevada Test Site and Nellis Air Force Base. He retired in 2010 and spent his days with his family camping, RV’ing, fishing, and riding ATV’s. He enjoyed watching any type of racing and tinkering on his family’s property in Cedar City that his great grandfather and grandfather settled on.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 29th at 12 pm at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. We welcome those that knew and loved Scott to come join us and share stories of a wonderful man who will be missed dearly.
