Sandy Voshake

Sandy was born in Quincy, IL, to Betty Fern and Elmer Altrogge on April 17, 1948. She graduated from Notre Dame High School. Shortly after graduation, she met her soulmate on a blind date. Sandy was happily married to Mike Voshake for almost 52 years at the time of her death. During their wonderful life, they moved several times due to career promotions and made fantastic friends at each stop.

Sandy is survived by her husband Mike Voshake of Las Vegas, her daughters Jennifer Voshake of Birmingham, AL, Jill Poulemanos (Alex) of Las Vegas, her grandsons Logan and Bradley Poulemanos and her sisters Patricia Schonhoff of Holliston, MA, and Judith Altrogge-Fretwell of Lewistown, MO.

Sandy always loved being outdoors, going for long walks, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, shopping, traveling and having fun. Every job Sandy held was focused around supporting and helping others. She was an avid volunteer supporting the American Cancer Society in various locations she lived and most recently for the Ronald McDonald House in Las Vegas. She cherished her newest role of being an amazing Nana to her two grandchildren.

A celebrations of Sandy’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
