She was born in Dearborn, MI on July 14,1960, the daughter of Brian and Ruth Paukstys.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Michael K. Byrd; children, Kristin (CJ) Bragg, Adam Byrd, and step-children Matt (Tami) Byrd and Jenna (Ryan) Haddrill; mother, Ruth Paukstys; siblings, Venisa Paukstys, Ron (Debra) Paukstys, Linda (Don) Seufert. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and numerous loving relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2pm at Desert Shores Community Baptist Church.
