Samuel Hamilton McCall, 78, of Las Vegas, died Saturday, November 30, 2019. He was born October 10, 1941 in Florida, the son of James and Jewel McCall. Sam was preceded in death by his life companion of 48 years, Robert C. Sullivan. Also by his parents and two siblings – James F McCall and Lindsay McCall. He is survived by seven siblings - Virginia Trofemuk, Merelyn Holmes, Lavonne Heuck, Hope Sullivan, Carol Clifford, Tracy McCall, Tim McCall - brother-in-law, Don A Sullivan and 24 nieces and nephews.
Sam was a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in history and philosophy. He served three years in the Army during the Vietnam War. Sam worked many years as a maître d’ in several hotel restaurants in Las Vegas.
Sam was a true Southern gentleman with a kind and generous heart. He will be missed by many good friends and family members. The family is extremely grateful to those who cared for Sam, especially Nikki, Jose and Claudia at Villa las Mercedes and good friends, Martha Adams and Shelly Bottarini.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 11:00 a.m.
