Ryan Alan Tanner was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 12, 1984 to Ronald Alonzo Tanner and Beverly Jo Smiley. Ryan grew up in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoyed spending time with his son, Rayden, playing ball in the back yard, going to the movies and taking him to Dave and Busters. Ryan was an avid San Francisco 49ers football fan and loved watching the games with family and friends and talking a lot of smack. He also followed the Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey team, the Atlanta Braves baseball team and college basketball team the Kansas Jayhawks. Ryan’s angels on earth, aunts, Barbara Humble and Robin Mathews, cousin Vince Stretch and sister Leah Tanner all supported his recovery throughout his struggle with addiction. All who knew Ryan hoped and prayed for a healthy and sober life. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald Tanner Sr., and Norma Tanner, and grandfather, Robert Humble. He is survived by his grandmother, Phyllis Van Leuven, parents, Ronald Tanner Jr (Trudy) and Beverly Smiley (Gary), brothers Ronald Tanner III (Alexandria), Darius Smiley and Gary Smiley, sisters Crystal Tanner, Tosha Tanner, Leah Tanner, Rachel Andersen (Travis), Tracey Smiley, and honorary brother Vince Stretch (Lissy), sons Rayden and Rome, beloved girlfriend Aleena Bice and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ryan will be greatly missed, forever loved and always remembered.
