The many footsteps of Ruth Ellen Kerby Sibert on Earth have ended. Her footsteps touched the Pyramids of Egypt to the shores of the Indian Ocean, from the beaches of New Jersey to the shores of Hawaii. Her travels extended to the mountain tops of the Rockies to the steps of Machu Picchu, from the halls of the Vatican to the splendor of Fiji, from her families peanut brittle shop in Australia to wonders of Bora Bora. From Ohio to the families move to Las Vegas in 1971 and thousands of steps at flea markets and yards sales, she treaded leaving a trail of memories and many friends. Her most significant footsteps led her to LeSourdesville Lake, Ohio where she met her husband of 53 years, Bill Sibert. Born in April 1934 in Hamilton, Ohio she married Bill Sibert in 1953. Their union blessed them with three children that all live in Las Vegas: Jim Sibert (Donna), Jill Sibert-Melancon (John Henry), and Charles Sibert. She is survived by her sister Mary Kerby of Las Vegas, NV, brother Robert Kerby of Hamilton, OH, and grandchildren Rachel DiPaolo (Rocco) and Ryan Sibert. Ruth left behind a legacy of graciousness and thoughtfulness to any person fortunate to share her love. She will sorely be missed by her family and friends. Services will be scheduled at a later date.
