Ruth (Brown) Hobbs was born August 22, 1930, in Lake Providence, LA, to the late Albert Brown Sr. and Laurette Smith Brown. She moved to Eudora, AR, at age 2 with her parents and grandparents. Ruth confessed in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Eudora, AR. Ruth departed this life peacefully on March 14, 2021, at Nathan Adelson Hospice with her daughter Mary Hobbs by her bedside.
She married Robert Hobbs in 1960 and they was married for 19 years until his death in 1980. Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed spending quality time raising her eight children. She loved gardening and spending wonderful moments reminiscing with her brothers and sisters about their childhood and family life. She moved to Las Vegas, NV, in 1979, where she continued to be a homemaker raising and nurturing her children, grandchildren and many other young family members and friends.
Preceding her in death is her husband Robert Hobbs; daughter Dorothy Brown; brothers Robert Brown, Albert Brown Jr., Hoover Brown, Cooley Brown, Adam Brown, Frank Brown and sisters Ernestine Brown and Olivia Wallace.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children Eddie Brown, Earnestine Hobbs (Thomas), Ricky Hobbs, Mary Hobbs, Emma Huddleston, Jimmie Hobbs (Passion) all of Las Vegas, NV, and Donna Hobbs-Middleton (Maurice) of Waldorf, MD; her dear and beloved grandchildren Kendrick Brown, Anthony Fletcher, Angel Fletcher, Zenia Brown, Ricky Winbush Jr., Tristen Hobbs, Denavia Hobbs, Leyla Middleton, Jared Middleton, Jimmie Hobbs Jr., Jammie Hobbs, Passion Hobbs, Nya Winbush and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Ruth also leaves to cherish her memories her brother Louis Brown and sister Beatrice Fletcher (Richard) both of Las Vegas, NV; her sister Ruby Davis of Little Rock, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and love ones.
