Dr. Russell R. Hart, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2010, at age 68. Russell was born on June 28, 1942, in New York City, and resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over 23 years. Russell held a PhD in Clinical Psychology, specialized in marriage and family counseling and hypnotherapy, and not only dedicated his life to healing his patients, but dedicated his entire being to mentoring, supporting, and guiding others. He expended all of his energy and will empowering himself and others to live life every day by one key conviction … "persistence and perseverance." Russell was a devoted husband and father whose immense generosity and love was boundless. He demonstrated his commitment to his wife, family, and friends through his selfless acts of love and the pride he so frequently pronounced. Russell also expressed these values through the thirst he developed for the Greek Orthodox faith and traditions, which he exemplified through his active participation in the church and church community. Russell, is survived by his beloved wife, Dora Hart of Las Vegas, Nevada, his cherished children, Bryan Hart of Salt Lake City Utah, Angela Hart, of Wheat Ridge Colorado, Amy Bonfrisco and her husband Louis Bonfrisco of Manchester, Washington, his granddaughter Alexis Tefft-Hart of Wheat Ridge Colorado, his brother Kenneth Hart and his wife Carole Hart of Maplewood, New Jersey, his sister Ingred Hart, of Andover, New Jersey, in addition to his many nieces, and nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2010, and the Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, located at 5300 S. El Camino Road, Las Vegas, NV, 89118. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday September 16, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. The burial will be at Palm Mortuary located at 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV, 89123. Donations may be made to the Iconography at St. John Greek Orthodox Church.
