Ronald L. Stratton, of Henderson, NV passed away at home August 15, 2016. He honorably served in the US Army in Vietnam. During a leave while in Tokyo in 1967, he met the love of his life and best friend. He is survived by his loving spouse of 48 years, Janet Stratton; his sons, Matthew (Christie Ross) and Michael; his grandchildren, Katherine and Ava; sister, Nedra Ball (David); brothers, Stevan (Linda) and Skip (Pat); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family would like to remember him for his joyful and positive spirit, loyalty, leadership, and kindness to others. His memorial service will be held Monday August 22, 2016 at 11: 00 am at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89123. An inurnment will take place at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the NV State Veterans Home – checks to be made payable to NVAL and mailed to 100 Veterans Memorial Dr. Boulder City, NV 89005.
