If there was ever a person who saw all the possibilities life had to offer, it was Ronald William Evans III. He was an idealist who was enthusiastic about the things he loved and held strong to his own personal convictions. Whenever he had a goal in mind, he did whatever he could to make his dreams a reality. This was a driving force in his life, and it helped him become a better man every day.
Ronald was born on February 1, 1999 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois to Ronald W. Evans Jr. and Regina R. Dupree. He was raised in Chicago, Illinois with his older sister, Jennifer Joanes. Even as a child, Ronald showed his compassionate nature and intelligence. He also had a love for staying active, especially by playing basketball, but he also liked playing video games and spending time with his best friend, Bink. After graduating from Kenwood Academy in 2015, he went on to earn his Associate of General Studies at College of Southern Nevada in August of 2020. During this time, he really found his knack for computers and graphic arts, and he even built his own personal computer from scratch.
Not only did he have a love for computers, he also had an interest in cryptocurrency. He would read books to help get his mindset right, and spent several years as a Crypto Trader. Whenever he found a passion for something, he dedicated himself to it and valued the hard work that it brought. Whenever he wasn’t trading, Ronald had a number of hobbies. He was a lifelong fan of sports, especially basketball, but he also loved watching football whenever he got the chance. He was also a proud Democrat and supported both Barack Obama and Kamala Harris.
Ronald took all of his personal and moral obligations seriously, and was a strong defender of his faith. He was a member of Sweet Holy Spirit Church and Inspirational Deliverance Center Church while living in Chicago. Ronald was also a lover of animals and cherished his Labradoodle, Oakley. They were best friends for the past 1 1/2 years.
On October 23, 2022, Ronald passed away in Henderson, Nevada. He is survived by his parents, Ronald Evans and Regina Dupree; sister, Jennifer Joanes; niece, Alyssa and nephew, Ashton; grandmothers Essie McCoy and Dolores Evans; aunts Jacqueline McCoy, Denita Willoughby (Anthony), and Deana Evans; and uncles, Rick McCoy and Martin McCoy.
Ronald William Evans III was someone who was able to see the good in the world and in other people. He was selfless and deeply committed to his family and friends. He was a person who would keep his eye on tomorrow and constantly held onto his dreams. It was this exceptional insight and quiet reserve that became his trademark qualities. Everyone whose lives he touch are forever changed from knowing and loving him, and he will be deeply missed.
