Ron was born on September 11, 1944, to Rosalie Najewski and Michael DeFazio in Niagara Falls, New York. Ron joined his father in the auto-wrecking business at a young age and was hooked on cars ever since. Ron spent his life with his dedicated wife, Jo Anne (Alfearie) DeFazio for over 50 years, together they enjoyed and adored their daughter Ronni Jo (DeFazio)Mizrachi. Ron also loved bragging about his 2 grandsons Jordan and Jakob Mizrachi as well as his son-in-law Eli.
Over the years, Ron enjoyed old school cars, camping, fishing, reading, storytelling, collecting guns and knives, and dabbling in keno. Ron was an avid swimmer and doted on his chihuahua Daisy. He was funny, kind, and one cool cat.
Ron was predeceased by his sister, Christine (DeFazio) Marinello, his two brothers-in-law. Joseph "Chubby" Marinello and Jimmy Valentine.
Ron was survived by his siblings Monica (DeFazio) Valentine, Michael DeFazio, and Debbie (DeFazio)Carrillo (Mike Carrillo) as well as many nieces and nephews. Ron was loved by his extended family including Joette Shamrock (his road dog) (Morris Shamrock), Rina Ligammari (Nick Ligammari) and Michael Alfearie (Jackie Alfearie); as well as good friends Chickie D'Agostino, Janet Dineri, Jimmy and Pattie Armstrong.
Services will be held at Palm Mortuary (7600 S. Eastern Avenue Las Vegas, NV 89123) on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 4:00pm.
