Robin G. Hunnicutt's parents were Harold Hunnicutt and Evelyn Raynal. Rob was raised in Dinuba and Central Valley, California. Rob was raised with six siblings, Jim, Melvin, Michael, Jerry, Sandra, and Stephanie. Rob had a strong desire to be treated fairly and would readily offer others the same fairness in return. As a young child, Rob showed his creative ability in many ways. He was outgoing and animated. Rob enjoyed new activities and pursued a variety of interests. He took part in football and basketball. Rob's memorable achievements included being the original test pilot for L.A.V. and the Head L.A.V. Instructor in the Marine Corps. Rob was blessed with three sons, Richard, William, and Charles. They were also blessed with three grandchildren, Ciera, Seyanni, and Jo'vana. His primary occupation was working for the Department of Defense. Rob was a Marine Corps Veteran. Rob could handle himself well in a crisis. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton and Okinawa, Japan. He achieved the rank of Sergeant. He received several awards including a Rifle Expert Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge, Professional Achievement Award, Letter of Appreciation, Good Conduct Medal, Certificate of Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Meritorious Mast. He showed leadership qualities and could make tough decisions when he was called upon to do so. When Rob’s retirement finally came in 1999, he was well prepared. He used logical analysis of his retirement options in order to ensure his retirement would be fulfilling. Still, he was able to easily adapt to possible changes and enjoyed just having fun and being relaxed. His new life involved relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. In retirement, he found pleasure in spending time with his boys and with his granddaughters. Rob passed away on November 23, 2013 in the comfort of his son, William's home. He is survived by his children, Richard, William, Charles; and his granddaughters, Ciera, Seyanni, and Jo'vana. Rob was laid to rest in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. Rob was the kind of person who could win others over easily. A concrete communicator, he relied on his senses to increase his involvement and awareness of others. He was always able to provide amusing repartee to his friends and acquaintances, offering a seemingly endless supply of quips, anecdotes, jokes and stories.
