He was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Charles L. Salone and Johnnie R. Wood on May 7, 1956. He was a graduate from Garfield High School with some college background and went on to start his working career at Fisher Body in Hamilton, Ohio after graduation. He then got a call from General Motors in 1976 where he worked as a tool and Die maker for 33 years retiring in 2009.
Robert met the love of his life Carolyn (Tillman) Brooks in 1998 and they married four years later in 2002. They joined Providence Baptist Church 112 West Sixth Street, Mansfield, OH 44902 in 2001 under the leadership of Pastor Thomas Hunt. Robert went on to become an Ordained Deacon in 2019 under the now Pastor Mark Cobb.
Robert loved working as a servant for the Lord as a member of the trustee board, the church treasurer and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He always made time for the church Mothers by calling them diligently every week and making them laugh. Robert also worked as a tutor to the children in the Ohio schools, He coached basketball, worked as a referee, and a score keeper for the sports games.
In 2022, Robert and his wife moved and retired to Las Vegas where he continued to impact young men lives by volunteering in schools and mentoring to help shape their future.
Robert is survived by his wife Carolyn Salone, sons Robert A. Salone, II, Ryan (Tanya) Salone of Los Angeles, CA., siblings Dwight(Debra) Salone, Phyllis(Donna) McGhee, Shawn(Michael) Salone, all of Los Angeles, CA, Chetaun Salone, San Antonio, TX, and Kendra Goodwell, Anchorage, AK, Roman Gray, Cincinnati, OH, and Josette (Eugene) Munzon, Orange County, CA. Two Step-children, Isiah (Shannon) Brooks, San Antonio, TX and Senior Master Sergeant Jameliah Brooks, Charleston, SC. Robert has three grandchildren, Amyalin, Aaliyah and Ryder Salone. Four step grandchildren, Wesley, Isiah, Darin, Raiya Brooks and brother-in-law Stanley Tillman (Theresa), St. Louis, Mo.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruth Salone and Roy Gray. Robert is also survived by a host of special cousins, friends, aunts, and uncles.
Robert will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a beacon of light to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A funeral service will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129. A reception will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
