Bob met his wonderful wife in their school, and they were married shortly after. They had two sons: Alan (1960) and Jeff (1964) before moving to Las Vegas with a wonderful job opportunity at Sparkletts Drinking Water.
Bob worked early in the morning every day until he retired early in 1995. After that, he tended to his many hobbies of building, rebuilding, shooting, and attending every school field trip his granddaughter asked him to go on. Bob loved to be outdoors to hunt and fish all over Nevada and Southern Utah. He loved nothing more than to sit in silence with his rod or rifle in hand and wait—then with the most enthusiasm say, “Ah, Got ‘Em!” when he got the animal.
His love of the outdoors led him to build a cabin that he loved almost as much as his wife. His love for Linda was pure but not simple. Bob was by her side through it all for almost 6 decades and for that he will be more than missed.
Known to many by “Bob” or “Rouss” or his most treasured “Grandpa Rousseau” will be missed for his booming belly laugh, no nonsense politics, and his unwavering love .
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings…
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda; his two sons Alan (Vicki) and Jeff; four granddaughters, Ashley (Christopher Poch), Rachel, Nicole, and Quinn; and four grandsons, Sean, Hunter, Rick, and Jake; and many other family and friends.
The Celebration of his life will be at Palm Mortuary Cheyenne Campus Thursday October 11, from 1-5pm
