Robert Besse Mentzel

He was born on November 17, 1947 in Lawndale, California to Frederick Theodore Mentzel and Laura Watson Mentzel.

He is survived by his sister LaVaughan Beck, children Thomas Parsons and Marisa Mentzel; grandchildren: Robert, Gypsy, Destiny, Gage, Anthony, Breanne, Brandon, Emerald, Gwendolyn, and Arleigh; great grandchildren: Deegan, Bently, Aubreigh and Braelynn. Robert was predeceased by his son, Christopher Robert Mentzel.

Robert grew up in Lawndale, California. He went to school there and made lifelong friends. He worked his first job with Carroll Shelby. He had amazing memories from that experience and loved to share the stories. Robert then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he raised his family. He worked in the grocery business for close to 40 years as a Manager and District Manager. He moved to Utah in 2005 to get away from the city life and eventually retire. He had a passion for cars, his Harley, golf, music, and movies but his greatest love was spending time with his family and friends. He had a beautiful soul and left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
