I was looking tonight for my Oasis band mates from long ago and looked for Bobby Lau, our keyboardist, vocalist and fun guy.  I am so sad to see that Bobby passed and cannot express the sorrow that I feel.  Finding this tonight brought back so many, many good memories of our time enjoying music together... forming a band, practicing in Bobby's basement, the many band jobs together, late nights, traveling, 3AM at Denny's after a band job... so many good times together.  I was hoping to connect with all of our band and, speaking for us all, we will not be the same with Bobby...  May you enjoy all that we were together, Bobby, and maybe we can all get together someday in the future to recall that special time together... and do it again... Tom

My cousin Bobby Lau was the reason I chose a career in music. I looked up to him as a mentor and wanted so much to be like him. I miss you Bobby....

I am a graduate of Peary High the class of 1976. Elizabeth Lohr I lost my hotmail account right when I was going to e-mail Bob Lau, just to fill in what been happening from our 30 class reunion in 2006. I did not learn of Bob Lau passing until I wrestled with bad people on the internet and the lost of my connection. 2 month went by trying to get connected and when I did. I been heartbroken. I been learning all about what been going on and his life since I saw him last. I had unfinished files I been working on. I been on photo shoots. I revisited Peary High School in Aug 2014. I sent my photo's to Stu Kursner. He has the Midnight Sun up in running and my photo's made it. I first saw my friend and neighbor Pat Brian in memory. Bob Lau had a nice write up on him of the life he lived. I cried for both losses. Bob Lau is like my wing man. Like goose in Top Gun. Bob Kau was everything to us. It taken many people now just to do his work. My job is photography and getting ready for our next High School Reunion and I bring something in with me and share it with the Peary group. He will all ways be with us. Hopefully he will be looking down and seeming what is going on. Bob Lau I miss you and I will do my best not to let you down. I never left. I will do my job the best I can.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing.  Although I went to Robert E. Peary, I did not know him until we connected through the website.  He kept us all glued together and I am glad for that.  I loved his spirit and looking at his postings on FB, it was obvious how happy he was and you were as a family.  He told me to contact him when I was in Las Vegas and I now wish I did.  My sincere condolences to you on the loss of a husband, son, father and a wonderful person.

I just discovered the Midnight Sun website today. Mr. Lau did a wonderful thing by creating and maintaining that site. My mom taught at Peary, and it was so nice to see that a few students mentioned her as their most memorable teacher. It made her feel good to be remembered, and we are grateful to him for providing the forum. It must have been a tremendous undertaking, but his enthusiasm for his alma mater and classmates is obvious. He must have been a very special man.

Bob was an incredible man.  He was able to keep all of us "Peary Peeps" together by his wonderful Peary website. For that I will be forever grateful. My thoughts are with Poppy and Leah.

    I didn't know Bob when we were at Peary, but when I learned about the mso site and sent in my info, Bob contacted me directly. We exchanged numerous emails. He was a delightful man and so full of Peary Spirit it was infectious. I appreciated his spunk more than he could ever have known. He reached out to so many of us in so many very special ways. 

     Thanks to Bob's mso site, countless friends were able to reconnect and numerous couples "found" each other again and rekindled the flame. After all he did to bring so many people together, I was delighted to see that he, too, had found his soulmate, Poppy. And together they brought the beautiful Leah into the world.

     To say that we will miss him is a tremendous understatement. Such a wonderful, generous man - the Ultimate Husky - he found a way to keep us together and then made it happen.

     My thoughts and prayers are with Poppy and Leah.

Bob's passing leaves a huge void in the Robert E. Peary family.  No one will ever fill his shoes.  I haven't seen him a while--he did come to Frederick, MD maybe six years ago (?) for a bit of a reunion at Champions and I went and hung out with him a bit then.  I'm eternally grateful that I got to tell him to his face how much I appreciated his involvement in reconnecting the Husky family and even more grateful to have called him my friend. I knew Bob from Elementary School to Jr. High School to High School.

His biggest impact in my life was the creation of our High School website. Because of that website I reconnected with an old friend and ended up getting married.

Poppy, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We never had the chance to meet Bob, but we know that he must have been wonderful enough to have married you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Wish that we could be there.

I first met Bob when I moved back to town in 1995.  He was working part time at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital and doing their website.  We became long time friends.  He will be remembered as so loving to Poppy and the kids.  Always trying to achieve more and better, funny, kind and willing to go the extra mile to help.

When our high school, Robert E. Peary, was closed, Bob brought us together and kept us connected through the website and events he planned. Through these connections, Bob and I became friends as we were not at Peary at the same time. I had the honor attending the wedding reception in MD and meeting Poppy. What I remember most about Bob were his sense of humor and his stories. No one is truly gone until the last person he knew, and had affected, has forgotten him or is also gone. Bob will still be with us for a very long time. Though I hadn't seen him for years, even after all this time, I knew he was still my good friend and I will miss his infectious laugh and his friendship.

I met Bob through his Peary website and found him to a friendly, warm, genuine person with a real love for his alma mater. Thank you for all you did for your classmates, Bob, and for the friendship you offered to me in the short time we knew each other. Deepest condolences to his family.

Bob was my neighbor on Bauer Dr in Rockville Md. He was also a good friend. We will all miss him dearly. I am glad he net his soulmate Poppy and know how proud he was of his sweet Leah.
