He was born October 29, 1922 in Chicago to Aaron Fine and Dorothy Oppenheim Fine. His beloved wife was Ruth “Sis” Teller.
Bob graduated from the Citadel and proudly served as a Captain in the Army in WWII and again in the Korean War. He worked for 40 years at Wallen-Fine Furniture in Chicago where he
co-owned the business with his father and their partners, and where he became President. In 1985, he and Sis moved to Las Vegas where they were realtors and volunteered on the Symphony board and for the American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery program. In 2013, he moved to Vallejo, CA.
Bob enjoyed making others smile with his optimism, encouraging words and his sense of humor. He was well-liked wherever he went. His loyalty and sense of duty and honor guided him and his family.
He is survived by his daughters Linda Fine Goldsmith, of Oakland, CA and Susan Fine Solberg, of Morton Grove, IL.
Funeral services were held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, NV. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to
