A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held at a later date.
Robert was born in Billings, Montana to Ray Sumner Cooley and Dorothy Ruth Cooley. He went to college in Bozeman, Montana. Robert married his high school sweetheart, Sheri Cooley in 1959 in Cody, Wyoming. Robert graduated from Montana State University and received his master’s degree at Arizona State University. He worked as a teacher for the Clark County School District for 31 years. He inspired the minds of many students who, to this day, reach out with grateful hearts.
Robert is survived by his wife Sheri Cooley and two children, Jeff Cooley (Deborah Cooley, Spouse) and Michele Pane (Ralph Pane, Spouse). Robert is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Dani Camden (Josh Camden, Spouse) Kelsi Pane, Beau Cooley (Jennifer Cooley, Spouse) Kira Cribari (Sebastian Cribari,
Spouse), Devin Cooley, and 6 great grandchildren, Ashlyn Camden, Austin Camden, Chloe Cooley, Olivia Cooley, Carson Cooley, and Luke Cooley.
Robert was many amazing things; a son, husband, father and grandfather being the first. He was an avid sailor, fisherman, hunter, and golfer. As well as an incredibly talented woodworker creating many pieces that still reside in the homes and memories of those he loved. He and Sheri spent nearly 64
beautiful years together building a life and making memories with friends and family. Knowing Robert was an honor and a gift. One where you were always left learning something new with a sense of confidence and a smile on your face. His sense of humor stayed with him till his last days. While his memory had faded, the light in his ocean blue eyes never did. Robert was a strong and captivating man and will truly be missed by all who loved and admired him.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmnorthwest.com for the Cooley family.
