He was born February 1st, 1955 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Porsha and Robert Battista. He was an only child. Bob went to high school at Midpark High. He loved skiing and playing music as a violinist. He played his first chair in the Cleveland Philharmonic in the early 70’s.
He moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1975 making this his permanent residence. He became a ski instructor part time for the love of the mountains and sport . He got into the airline business at McCarran Airport where he started at United Airlines and worked there for 9 years. Then he worked at Southwest Airlines for 42 years.
He is survived by his son Bryant Battista and his two granddaughters Alexandria and Brooke Battista who resided with him when he passed.
Bob loved his family and held them dear to his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and playing music with his son.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, February 1st, 2025 at Palm Mortuary at 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123
