Richard (Dick) Norvin Webb, 86, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2016. He was born April 7, 1930, in Stockton, CA, an only child to Gordon and Bethel (Webb) Hayes. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He continued to work at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas as an airplane mechanic for 40 years until his retirement in 1990. Dick met Patricia in Stockton, CA. They were soon married and moved to Las Vegas to begin their long marriage together and start a beautiful family. After retiring from Nellis, he continued prepping off-road race cars for 13 years in the family business, Webbweld Racing, earning Mechanic of the Year in the SNORE racing series. Dick loved his family and was a faithful friend; was always there to lend a hand if any family member or friend needed anything; he enjoyed hunting trips; traveling to off-road races assisting with race car pit stops and making many friends along the way; Dick could fix almost anything; he enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren play baseball/softball; attend dance recitals; and all other family activities/events; he enjoyed camping in their motorhomes; and attending church at Our Lady of Las Vegas and was baptized in 2013; he liked watching Nascar; and Football (49ers); Dick was a quiet and wise man, full of integrity, with a good sense of humor. He was someone that could always be counted on. We could fill the entire newspaper with good things to say and it wouldn’t be enough room. He will be missed by many. Preceded in death by father Gordon Webb, mother Bethel Hayes, and son Gerald Webb. Dick is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Webb; Sons Dennis Webb (Patty); Eddie Webb (April); and Bobby Webb (Carol); Grandchildren; Ryan Webb; Alan Webb (Jillian); Natalie Webb; Brittney Webb; Stephanie Webb; Kaylee Webb; Collin Webb; Megan Carlson; Great Grandsons Caelem Webb; Trenton Brown; Caster Webb; and sister-in-law Lois Gregg.
