Richard F. (Rich) Trujillo, 56, was called to be with Our Father in Heaven on Saturday, October 28, 2017 where he joins his own father, Richard Trujillo, and his father-in-law, Sam Colarusso. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he graduated from Central High School in 1979, attended the University of Wyoming where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and later became a journeyman electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – his proud profession for 32 years. Rich lived in Las Vegas with his wife, Angela Colarusso, with whom he recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They raised three beautiful children – twins Nicholas and Miyanna born in 1996 and Zachary born in 1998 – all of whom now attend the University of Nevada in Reno. They were his pride and joy – truly the light of his life. For many years, Rich has enjoyed being an active member of the Saint Viator Catholic Church where he served as Eucharistic Minister, with the Children’s Liturgy, and in many other church activities. He supported the Boy Scouts, played softball and flag football in Saint Viator’s Turkey Bowl each year, and loved riding his bicycle and playing with the family dogs, Bailey and Bella. He was a big fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, UNLV Rebels and Las Vegas 51’s and was becoming an Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders fan as well. Rich is lovingly remembered for his strong faith in God and for being a kind, humble, thoughtful and gentle person who would help anyone he knew with any task no matter how large or small. Rich is survived by his wife and children and the families of his mother, Donna Garcia; brother, Nathan Trujillo; sister, Brenda Trujillo; paternal aunt, Annette (Annie) Valdez; mother-in-law, Chiyako (Rose) Colarusso; sister-in-law, Rose Haunreiter; brother-in-law, Sam Colarusso; and many, many other family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who loved him dearly. While Heaven has been enriched by his arrival, those left behind are heartbroken by his loss. He will be missed by all who had the fortune and pleasure of knowing him. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Palm Eastern Mortuary from 4:00-8:00 p.m and the funeral mass will be held at Saint Viator Catholic Church on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 11:00 am followed by a celebration of life at the Saint Viator Parish Center.
