Richard was larger than life in statue, personality, and the love he showed for those he cared about. He proudly service in the USAF station at Nellis AFB and return to LV, NV many years later when he began his career in the gaming industry. He spent the last 15+ years working at the Venetian Casino as games supervisor “pit boss”. He was an avid sports fan working for awhile as a sports photographer. He enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge and interest in music and political history with others. His humor was only outmatched with the generosity he showed others, especially in their time of need. He truly was a special person in many ways.

Devoted and loving husband to Caryn Torento; Father to son Eric Torento, and stepchildren Katlyn and Dana “DJ” Johnston, Daniele, Noelle and Nicole Thomas; grandfather to Caroline Johnston; Brother to Bill Torento, Patricia Torento Yarbrough and Mary Torento Chubb; also survived by many nieces, nephews and his loyal dogs, Dozer and Lucy. His parent William & Asae Torento and his brother Raymond Torento preceded him in death.
